Many moons ago I played the drums in rock bands and pub bands. We played original music and had some success in and around London (UK) but we never quite made the grade. Exposure was hard and we didn't have the avenues like the internet, as you do today. So, COME ON! all you budding musicians and bands get with the program.
The biggest mistake musicians made in my day were; they forgot the music industry is exactly that, an industry! It's driven my market forces, same as any other business. Whether you agree with capitalism or not, that's the way it is! So... Use the tools available to get to people and build a following or no record company will sign you! You can't change the world from your bedroom so get exposure. You can change the world later... when your rich and powerful!
